Dance Biography

I have been a professional dance and theater artist for over 14 years, I am trained under the full scholarship with The Alvin Ailey American Dance theater, New York.I studied with master pedagogues, Anthony Noa(Deutsche Opera Berlin), Tracy Inman(Alvin Ailey), Peter Brandenhoff(Royal Danish and San Francisco Ballet),  Dudley Williams (Alvin Ailey), Renee Robinson (Alvin Ailey), and  Penny Frank (Martha Graham Dance Company), Freddie Moore(Alvin Ailey) and more who helped me to polish my artistic talent.

I performed in Alvin Ailey’s signature work Revelations alongside the AAADT. I also danced lead roles in choreography by Ray Mercer (from The Lion King on Broadway) and by the internationally accredited Darshan Signh Buhuller (Former Principal in the London Contemporary Dance Theater). Judith Jamison, Artistic Director Emerita of the AAADT, said that I was “spectacular.” As a member of The Ailey Students Performance Group under the direction of Freddie Moore, I also performed works of Alvin Ailey, Mathew Rushing, Hope Boykin, Ray Mercer, Jamar Roberts.

My professional highlights include opening for the AAADT 2014 season in BESSIE Award Winner Hope Boykin’s work, A Grateful Gathering at the New York City’s City Center. I have performed in Nick Cave’s artistically inclined Heard NY (100 Years Anniversary of Grand Central New York), choreographed by William Gill and produced by CREATIVE TIME. I was also a key dancer in David Monn’s production for the 2013 Park Avenue Armory Gala, In The Void, choreographed by Matthew Rushing (Rehearsal Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater). I was the principal artist at Western Colorado Dance Theater, American Liberty Ballet New York, Ballet Vorpommen Germany,Oakland Ballet where I performed the principal role of Mowgli in the ballet called Jangala(Based on the story of Jungle Book). I was invited to work in Katie Holmes’s documentary In Short, produced by City Room Creative and featuring AAADT’s Principal Dancer Renee Robinson.

In Germany, I was featured as a guest artist for Ballet Vorpommern (Greifswalfd, Germany), under the direction of Ralf Dornen, in their open-air ballet Soul Of Ballet (choreographed by Robert Glumbek and Sabra Johnson).

I have also performed internationally for corporate productions for HBO, Maruti Suzuki, and Cisco, and at remarkable venues such as Lincoln Center’s David K Koch Theater, New York City Center Theater, The Park Avenue Armory, Kumble Theater, Grand Central Terminal, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, The Moss Performing Arts Center, Talkatora Stadium, and Paramount Theater. Tracy Inman handpicked me for many scholarships and special performances with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. I am additionally the recipient of the The Yass Family Scholarship, The Ada Brandon Scholarship, The Glorya Kaufman Dance Foundation Scholarship, and The Bob Fosse-Gwen Verdon Scholarship.
